According to the WHO: Stress can be defined as a state of worry or mental tension caused by a difficult situation. Stress is a natural human response that prompts us to address challenges and threats in our lives. Everyone experiences stress to some degree. The way we respond to stress, however, makes a big difference to our overall well-being.
Stress affects the mind, body, and spirit. A little bit of stress is good and can help us perform daily activities. Too much stress can cause a variety of personal problems. Learning how to cope with stress can help us feel less overwhelmed and support our mental, physical, and emotional well-being.
In this workshop, we will discuss the different types of stress we experience in our daily lives. We will discuss the common ways stress affects everyone, as well as our own personal relationship with the stresses in our life. We will practice and explore practical ways to manage stress throughout the day, and ensure it doesn't have a prolonged negative influence on our overall well being.
This is an 8 hour workshop, and can be broken up into shorter sections. Group rates available. Contact for current pricing and availability.
